The
Andover Township Police Department once again taught
Dare (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) to the entire 6th
grade class at the Andover Regional School this year.
During the ten week class we talked about the many
dangers of smoking, alcohol, drug use, and negative peer
pressure. The students learned how to make healthy,
smart decisions and to deal with real life issues, and
most importantly to stand up for their own beliefs. At
the end of the ten week awareness program, the children
demonstrate their learning experience through an essay
about the D.A.R.E. program. The essays were judged and
the top twelve were given prizes.
