Announcements:

DNA KITS
Members of the Andover Township Police Department
participated in several Child Identification Programs in
conjunction with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge # 177.
Several area businesses sponsored these programs. During
these programs, children were fingerprinted and
photographed. DNA kits were again completed for children in
the Andover Regional School District. All information was
returned to the parents. Anyone interested in having a DNA
kit for their child can contact the department for further
information and request to speak with Patrolman Mosner. We
would like to emphasize that the DNA kits are not retained
by this department for data base purposes. This program is
strictly geared towards safekeeping your child in the event
of an emergency.

PARKING ORDINANCE
As a reminder, Local Ordinance 10-10b restricts parking of
vehicles on any roadway in the Township between the times of
10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.. This ordinance is in effect from
November 15th of each year to April 15th of the following
year. The police department requests that if a vehicle
needs to be parked on the roadway, a call be placed to the
police department by the vehicle owner.

GUN LOCKS
The Andover Township Police Department will be distributing
gun safety locks to the residents of Andover Township. This
program is in conjunction with Project Child Safe. Project
Child Safe is a nationwide program that helps ensure safe
and responsible firearm ownership and storage. The firearm
safety kits include a safety brochure that covers a variety
of options for firearms storage and a free cable-style gun
lock. We encourage anyone with firearms to please stop by
the police department and pick up a safety kit today!
